We like to let our work and track record speak for itself but here is a little about the people behind the work.
David Sidebotham and Karsten Bartholin met in 1999 while producing a youth TV show. In 2004 they won the international pitching competition “The brain station” held by SBSbroadcasting which resulted in the commission of the international success and Rose D´or nominated Gay Army. As well as creating the format, David and Karsten produced, directed and edited the entire series.
In 2006 the duo created the format “Big in Japan” which airs on abc in the U.S under the title “I Survived A Japanese Game Show”. The show, broadcast in 2008 has been re-ordered for a second season. David and Karsten are also executive producers of the show. Babyfoot are the first Danish company ever to sell a TV Format to one of the big U.S TV networks. Before the successful launch in the U.S the show was optioned in 19 territories and has so far been successfully produced in Greece, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
David and Karsten’s partnership has taken them all over the world in their quest for great TV, they have transported a Fox TV star to Denmark, eaten raw seal liver together with Greenlandic Inuit’s, turned a bunch of feminine gay guys into the Gay Army and got westerners to take part in a Japanese game show. They certainly love what they do and relish a challenge.
